Locking Nut

A locking nut is a specialized type of fastener designed to prevent loosening due to vibration or torque, ensuring a secure and reliable connection in various mechanical and structural applications. These nuts are commonly used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and construction, where maintaining the integrity of fastened joints is critical.

Locking nuts come in several designs, each utilizing different mechanisms to achieve their locking function. Common types include nylon insert lock nuts, metal lock nuts, and wedge-locking nuts. Nylon insert lock nuts, also known as nyloc nuts, feature a nylon collar that grips the threads of the bolt, providing resistance to loosening.
